Helicopter Flight School and Commercial Imaging Resources in Chesapeake Virginia | CBHELOS
Helicopter Safety
CBH Safety

Chesapeake Bay Helicopters is concerned about crew and helicopter safety.

CBH and CBH Imaging Resources operate helicopters within wire environments during thousands of flight hours every year.

That's why we schedule annual training with Utilities/Aviation Specialists.

The Wire Strike Avoidance Course is taught by Bob Feerst, a long time pilot and experienced in the obstacle environment. All CBH pilots are required to attend this highly valuable training at least one time annually. More information about Utilities/Aviation Specialists can be found at www.helicoptersafety.com.

Wire Strike Avoidance Training

The next Wire Strike Avoidance Course is scheduled to be held at CBH on April 06, 2009.

We are also installing flight tracking systems on our helicopters.

This software is able to locate our aircraft in real time, displayed on any laptop computer screen. We will also be able to communicate with pilots through satellite communications, even though cell towers may be non-functional in adverse weather conditions. We feel that safety is enhanced by the use of this technology since it will permit our management to locate our aircraft anywhere and anytime.
