the engine and transmission behind and below the cabin
area. This placement substantially reduces cockpit
noise and increases overall safety by providing a
lower center of gravity to help prevent rollover and

The Schweizer

The Schweizer 333 has a lifting body design.
This design allows the helicopter to perform better than
typical aircraft at lower power settings (reduces fuel burn
rate). Lowering the amount of power needed to perform the
same tasks reduces the high temperature settings typically
associated with other turbines. This design also assists
with providing a lower descent rate and longer glide during
autorotations.
