Chesapeake Bay Helicopters,
Inc., patrols over 190,000 miles of pipeline and power lines
per year. CBH serves a number of utility companies
by providing them comprehensive aerial patrol programs.
We fly aerial patrols in ten states and are able to provide
basic patrols or patrols with advanced data gathering and
analyzing capabilities. We offer both turbine and piston
helicopter services nationwide. Our current helicopter inventory
includes the following:

Schweizer
333 and Schweizer
300CB/CBis.
We are able to offer technologically advanced
aerial patrols using
LIDAR, Corona,
Infra-Red and Daytime
Television Video. We specialize in low altitude
corridor operations. Some uses of our equipment are: LIDAR
mapping, pipeline class density studies, coastal erosion
studies, power line planning and line sag determination.

By flying slower, lower, and with added visibility in the
helicopter, you can see more problematic situations before
they turn into costly power outages or pipeline leaks.
On gas
pipelines, the helicopter can land and stop
