Helicopter Flight School and Commercial Imaging Resources in Chesapeake Virginia | CBHELOS
Train with CBH!
Chesapeake Bay Helicopters currently offers the following advanced helicopter flight training courses:

IFR Training: CBH has a Schweizer 300CBi instrument helicopter trainer. This helicopter is nicely equipped - including a Garmin 430 GPS, an HSI and dual CDI indicators for intersection holding.

Flight Instructor Instrument – Helicopter.

Airline Transport Pilot – Helicopter.

CBH Student Helicopter Patrol Program.
CBH is proud to announce a new Student Helicopter Patrol program.

CBH will provide a minimum of 20 free hours of helicopter PIC (pilot in control) patrol time to any student paying for at least 100 hours of flight instruction. The pilot/student requirements for participating in this program are:

• At least a Private Pilot Helicopter license at the time of the patrol.
• Having paid for at least 100 flight hours at normal CBH rates.
• Students who finance flight training are eligible for the patrol program.
• M-1 visa students are eligible for the patrol program.

Some guidelines for the program are:
• Student participants will be provided at least 20 hours of free flight time, on patrol.
• ALL patrol flights will have a qualified flight instructor onboard the aircraft.
• Student participants will be required to undergo pipeline observer training.
• Students who complete the patrol program will be considered for employment positions ahead of other students and outside employment

Schweizer Helicopter Transition Training. Pilots of other helicopter types transition easily into Schweizer 300 helicopters. Schweizer helicopters are extremely stable trainers and are some of the safest aircraft being manufactured. We offer a Schweizer Insurance Program transition during which all training maneuvers are practiced - including full touch-down, precision autorotations.

Bell Jet Ranger and Turbine Transition Training. We offer turbine transition training in the Bell Jet Ranger and Schweizer 333 helicopters. This training includes full touch-down auto rotations in both helicopter types.

A Commercial Edge:

Chesapeake Bay Helicopters Imaging Resources (CBH) is a commercial helicopter company holding long-term contracts with a number of companies. We offer our flight students the unique opportunity to be trained by pilots who are readily involved in commercial helicopter applications. At CBH students learn how to fly helicopters just like they are flown in the helicopter commercial market. We believe that our students are some of the most highly trained pilots in the industry.

Helicopter Information:
Chesapeake Bay Helicopters operates mainly Schweizer helicopters for student training. We believe that Schweizer helicopters are the best choice because of their inherent stability, safety margins, reliability and multi-operational design. Schweizer helicopters have wide center of gravity limits - meaning that we can accommodate most commercial applications and students of all sizes.

NOTE: Please call our main office on (757) 465-9936 with questions about our training course outlines/ syllabi. We would be happy to provide additional information on estimated course completion costs upon request.
