As a student with Chesapeake Bay Helicopters, Inc., you will have more opportunities for employment in the future. We are ever expanding our operations, and we will need good, qualified personnel to fill these positions. As a CBH student, you will gain a background and knowledge of real life commercial applications. Some flight schools have little commercial flying experience. We teach real world flying - the type of flying that you should expect when operating commercially. Within the helicopter market, the need for qualified pilots is increasing. As retiring Vietnam pilots move out of the industry, positions are left vacant with no one to fill them. Minimum hourly requirements for flight positions have been reduced over the years and salaries have generally increased. Be sure to view the CBH Flight Training page. It is important in this industry to research helicopter types and schools before learning to fly (or purchasing) an aircraft. Schweizer helicopters are the safest training helicopters in the world with wide safety margins and are simultaneously built to behave like larger, commercial helicopters. The transition from your Schweizer helicopter to the commercial helicopter market will be operationally comparable.

Our Chief Pilot is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and is also a Factory Check-Pilot for Schweizer Aircraft Corporation.
